My week was jam-packed full of clients who were ready to fish, but we had one big problem ahead of us - a strong East wind!! If you don't know why that's a problem, allow me to enlighten you; when the wind blows from the East, that prevents our incoming tide from fully being able to come in, which results in extreme low tides for those of us on the Nature Coast. Luckily I had some dedicated clients this week, and they were game to give it a try anyway. The wind was whipping, and the water followed right behind it, so I decided to nose hook darker colored soft plastics, which proved to be precisely what the trout were looking to chew. We primarily stayed in the back creeks just North of Ozello near Mangrove point to help protect us from the winds.
